SUMMARY
Title: Manufacturing Engineer

DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee the design of production machinery and will identify and recommend solutions to production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling.
JOB DUTIES
Designs tools and machines used to manufacture products.
Support Engine Major Components Machining operations by developing and implanting work instructions, routings, CNC programs and labor standards.
Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacement.
Oversees the development of new processes, methods, and production controls. Including operation manuals for new and existing equipment.
Installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery.
Performs continuance improvement activities to address, safety, quality and productivity while using LEAN manufacturing thinking.
Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment. With extensive knowledge of production processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing, CNC Programming, quality, tooling, and layout design.
1 or more years of experience in one or more engineering areas: Machining, Production, Manufacturing, or Quality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, and computer-aided drafting (CAD) software. Knowledge in engineering tools such as CREO, AutoCAD, CATIA and Soildworks preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Engineering/Technology discipline or related Engineering field.
Three years of experience as a manufacturing engineer required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
